The flag of Tarua (Taruan: Ta Faʻi Tarua) is a horizontal tricolor, with the middle blue stripe being twice in height. Along the side are four four-pointed stars, representing the four main islands of Tarua - Ietuhea, Noamea, Toka and Aeroku.
The flag was adopted following the 1994 Taruan Revolution, which saw the establishment of democracy in the country.
