The Kochengians are a cat-like people from the planet Kocheng. While small and physically frail, they are highly intelligent, the Kochengians are known throughout the galaxy for their talents in scientific fields.
History
Origins
Overview
Kochengians are relatively small compared to most sentient species, with men typically standing at 130-135 cm and women standing at 100-125 cm. They closely resemble the cats of Earth, sharing their flexibility, retractable claws, enhanced (albeit colourless) eyesight and hearing, and general appearance. Whether God used the Kochengians as a template to create cats or vice versa is unknown.
Kochengian coat colours can vary wildly, from white, black, various shades of grey, red, brown, or even blue and pink. Like cats, they can also have stripes and patches of different colours.
Most Kochengian women give birth to a litter of 2-4 kittens, although single births and multiple births of 5-6 kittens are not unheard of.
Realms of the Multiverse
Kochengians appear in the game as characters in Realms 2600 campaigns, with only two playable characters; Hellcat and Mengmeng Oyen, who is a caster class and a ranger class respectively. They tend to have a low health but high attack and agility, including the bonus granted by their species trait.

Creation and conception
The Kochengians started as a set of drawings and jokes RMD made in high school about a planet full of sentient cats. They were initially planned to be similar in size to humans, but was ultimately shrunk to their current size in their early concept in Realms around 2018.

Trivia
- Kochengian expletives are sometimes too complex for universal translators to translate and thus come out as yowls or hisses.
