The 2039 Impeachment Proceedings of Fabian Xandinho Carrasco were triggered by leaked financial statements of Grupo AHR in January 2039 that revealed extensive corruption on the part of the President to facilitate granting construction contracts and government positions in exchange for properties and financial assets. The 2041 presidential elections marked the first ever PRC loss due in large part due to this scandal, and saw the party lose power for over two decades.
