The Kangsu Act, formally known as “An act to provide for the swift entry of the territory of the Republic of Kangsu under the sovereignty of the Serenacy of Cárinansia,” was legislation passed in March, 2042, which was responsible for the Cárinansian annexation of Kangsu. As a consequence of this bill, the population of Carinansia increased by sixty-five million, and the land area increased by 25%. Additionally, the Kangsuan nuclear Arsenal came under the complete control of the Serene government.

It was the political ambition of President RIMO to establish a unified Suroikoian state, and the next step of doing so, he deemed to be the complete annexation of Kangsu. Thus, following plebiscites which took place across the country in late-2041, discussion of the bill began. After extensive efforts by the Party for the Cárinansian Revolution, a Department of Justice investigation revealed significant evidence of corruption and gerrymandering within the party, which gave the government sufficient pretext to censure them for the next ten years. Consequently, the bill was able to pass without issue.
