The Malthasvarians or Malthasvarian peoples are a group of peoples who speak the Malthasvarian languages. They are geographically distributed primarily throughout all of Dulmara, Hirovia, and some parts of Southeastern Kulanthir. There is also a major Malthasvarian diaspora in many parts of the world, particularly Kulanthir and Armaghan. The Malthasvarians are the modern descendants of the prehistoric Malthasvars, who originated from Southern Kulanthir, specifically the Malthasvarian basin. Malthasvarians make up the majority of the population in the countries of Farokand, Hirovia, Kuza, Malizia, Zutar, Pizoi, and Numikia, all except for Hirovia located in Dulmara. Additionally, the Eriwickian grand duchy of Karavastan and the Keldorian province of Costalia have majority-Malthasvarian populations.

The ancient Malthasvars lived nearly 6,000 years ago during the later stages of the Koprolithic era. They were nomadic pastoralists that roamed the Malthasvarian basin. Their origins are unknown, and much debate surrounds it. Eventually the Malthasvars settled the basin and the Kulanthirian coast. Around the 4th century BCE, the Malthasvars migrated to the continent of Dulmara, conquering the Borfusans and initially dispersing across the Farokandi Archipelago. Western Dulmara was settled later on in the next several centuries. The Malthasvars developed into separate ethnic identities, culminating in the origination of the modern Malthasvarian peoples. Over the next few centuries, the Malthasvarian peoples established separate kingdoms and secured control of most of Dulmara. Many of the major Malthasvarian peoples have been united under Farokand. The Farokandi colonisation of Hirovia brought Malthasvarians to Hirovia, which today retains a Malthasvarian majority in its population. As a result of a few Malthasvarian tribes staying in Kulanthir during and after the Malthasvarian migration, a few Malthasvarian ethnic groups are located in Southeastern Kulanthir.

Today, the Malthasvarian peoples are classified into three linguistic and geographical groupings:
