The Model 1971 is a Maverican infantry fighting vehicle. The Model 1971 IFV was developed alongside the later accepted Model 1974 (Maverica) armored personnel carrier to replace older trucks that had been employed in motorized units. The Model 1971 is also one of the earliest IFVs accepted into service. It would be mostly replaced by the Model 1984 IFV however it still serves still in many secondary roles.
