From Middle Badul wreech, from Old Badul wreech, wreegh, from Ucerian vhrīg, from Proto-Bintic *rigeti. Cognate with Torse rigid (to reach, to stretch, to arrive).

Note: some dialects labialise the flap and some also remove the palatalisation and lengthen the vowel.
