Stefanos Androulakis (born 1981) is a Theodoran politician and former lawyer currently serving as the 7th Mesazon (head of government) of Theodorous and the Parathalassias.
Early life and career
Born in 1981 in the city of Doros, then a part of the Soviet Union, Androulakis was educated abroad and obtained a law degree at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He returned to Doros in 2003 to practise law, and gained acclaim for litigating several class-action lawsuits relating to the 2004 "Spoils of War" embezzlement scandal. He continued his practise until 2013, when the Synaspismos, a newly-created anti-austerity alliance, recruited him as a senatorial candidate. He was placed 6th on the alliance's electoral list and narrowly secured election when his list won 7 seats. Synaspismos went on to form a coalition government. In the subsequent 2016 election, Androulakis was again placed 6th on the Synaspismos list, this time easily winning his seat, while his party took 14 seats, enough to form a minority government. In a 2018 cabinet reshuffle, Androulakis was appointed to a junior ministerial office as the Court Secretary for Labour and Social Affairs, and became popular for his promotion of welfare policies. In 2018, when the various parties of the Synaspismos merged to form the Theodoran Spring, Androulakis was assigned as the coordinator for the merger.
Term as Mesazon
In 2018, Mesazon Antonis Kyriakis announced that he would step down at the next election, allowing the leadership of Theodoran Spring to be contested. Androulakis declared his candidacy for the new party's leadership, and won with 47% of the internal vote. He led his party into the 2019 election, which it won with a reduced plurality of 12 seats. Androulakis subsequently formed a minority government, and assumed the office of Mesazon. In the 2022 election, Theodoran Spring won a plurality once more, retaining its 12 seats; hence, Androulakis remained in office as Mesazon.
