F-60A/C Hekate Multirole Stealth Fighter

The F-60A/C Hekate Multirole Stealth Fighter has been a golden feather in the cap of the Confederate States Air Force for decades. The F-60 was acquired in two designs; the F-60A Stealth Fighter aircraft as commonly used by the CSAF and the F-60C Multirole Carrier Stealth Fighter as used by the Navy. A fifth-generation Stealth Fighter, the primary usage of the Hekate is for homeland defense operations during times of emergencies and for aerial patrols conducted regularly by the CSAF around the nation. It is rarely, if ever at all, used by the Navy due to the acquisition of the F-21A/B Drekafighter which all but replaced the F-60C for Confederate Navy use. Capable of multiple payload configurations, it is a reliable and dependable airframe that all but replaced the F-22 Raptor due to both cost and effectiveness in traditional operational roles. While the F-60 does not approach the complexity and sophistication of the more advanced Raptor, it is still expected to serve the Confederate Military for many decades to come.

Description

The F-60 is a manned stealth aircraft capable of handling air superiority, ground support and patrol missions. A fifth generation multirole stealth fighter, it stands above many other aircraft of its type, filling slots that are normally held by aircraft such as the Mig-29, F-16, F-15 or PAK FA. Striking a balance between ultra high performance, but consequently very expensive aircraft and cheap jets that are bought by the hundreds, the F-60 can outperform cheap fighters thrown against it en masse and it will typically outnumber dedicated air superiority aircraft that outperform it. Acquired by the Confederate Military to fill an early gap in fifth-gen fighters, it has proven itself worthy enough to be continuously upgraded to meet modern challenges in the aerial battlefield.
