The March 5-faction supported coalition governments with the Socialist Party.
Anti-coalition (Antikoa)
The Antikoa-faction were opossed to coalition with the Socialist Party. Antikoa supported coalition governments with the Liberal Party and in particular with the People's Party.
In 1965 most Antikoa-parliamentarians decided to leave the Democratic Centre-parliamentary group and to join forces with the People's Party and to create a new political party: the Democratic People's Party.
