Go Chaeyoung(고채영) is the current 1st Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service(NIS). She was specially hired by the NIS after graduating from Seoul National University at 19. According to public disclosure, her main areas of expertise were TECHINT and cyber warfare.

Go Chaeyoung remained with NIS after TECHINT and cyberwarfare-related work was transferred to Intelligence Security Headquarters(ISH), and was recently promoted to NIS 1st Deputy Director.

Early life

Go Chaeyoung stood out in terms of knowledge and intelligence from an early age. She graduated from elementary and middle school early in eight years with unrivaled academic performance and learning speed, and entered Seoul National University with a senior admission at 16 after graduating from high school in one year. She completed her bachelor's degree in computer engineering and political science in three years.

Career

Go Chaeyoung reportedly joined a large public company after graduating from university. However, when Go Chaeyoung was promoted to 1st Deputy Director of NIS, it became known that she had been working at NIS. Go Chaeyoung is said to have been specially hired by NIS shortly after graduating from university and has mainly worked on cyber warfare.

Due to the specificity of her job, it is not known in detail what detailed duties she has performed in NIS and what achievements she has achieved. However, according to NSB(Служба национальной безопасности, National Security Service), Svetvostok's intelligence agency, Go Chaeyoung is presumed to be one of the people who led the massive confidential leak of Svetvostok National Security Forces in 2025. At that time, more than 2,000 data were leaked due to hacking attacks against Svetvostok National Security Forces' internal computer network, including information on the stealth signature of Svetvostok's latest mainstay fighter, HS-27.

In the November incident in 2033, Go Chaeyoung was known to have contributed to the search for coup sympathizers inside NIS while actively cooperating with the government's efforts to deter coups. Currently, She serves as 1st Deputy Director of NIS, overseeing the overseas information collection.
