Edouard Arne Kirk (born 12 June 1933) is a Calradian statesman, retired army general, and writer who served as the 13th President of the United Republic from 2010 to 2020. A well-experienced military officer, he was appointed as High Commander of the Calradian Republican Armed Forces in the leadup to the Second Global Conflict, and coordinated some of the most consequential operations that led to the Alliance's victory, including Operation Shatterpoint and Operation Red Crucible. After a transition into politics through his tenure as the Minister of Defense, and a short yet memorable tenure as a Senator from Rhodokia, Kirk was nominated by the UCP as its presidential candidate and won the presidential election in 2010 in a landslide, defeating then-President David Ives.
