Marism is a monotheistic religion dominant in Brilliania and neighbouring areas. The faith is based on the teachings of Guardian Mari and her ten Followers, supplanting earlier local pagan religions in Brilliania in the 9th century. The holy book is the Hitzak (Words), although nine books of the Hitzak are considered as apocryphal by most religious practisioners.

Hasiera (Beginning)
Hasiera is the first of 4 Hitzak books and details the creation of the world by an unnamed God.
Kodetzak (Codifyers)
Kodetzak is the second of 4 Hitzak books and details the early life of Mari and the works of the first three Followers.
Irakaspen (Teachers)
Irakaspen is the third of 4 Hitzak books and details the life of Mari and the works of the remaining seven Followers
Gutunak (Letters)
Gutunak is the last Hitzak books and consists of letters written by Followers to local congegrations. The last nine chapters of the Gutunak are the controversial apocryphal sections.

Reform Marists
Reform Marists are the newest of the three major Marist pillars, splitting off the Orthodox pillar in 1907. Reform Marists do not believe in any of the 9 apocryphal books.
