Alvaro Clémente Delacroiz-Romero is the current Subprésident of Inyusta.

Early Life

Alvaro Delacroiz was born on the island of Islé Incarnaçion (in the city of the same name) to a small family of four.

He attended college at L'Université National de François Cortána, where he studied economics. Delacroiz later received his masters in business administration from the same school.

After college, he was hired to work in administration for the local oil corporation Nuveau Pétrol. Alvaro spent most of his work dealing with the damages wrought by leftist insurgent group Marcon De'Rouje attacking rigs, shore-based pumping stations and other inland assets in the southern borderlands with the terra nullius state of Tirméno.

Political Career

Delacroiz ran for and was elected as governor of Le Suda in 2004. He immediately set out trying to the provençial establishment of its entrenched corruption and strengthened the National Guard units in his half of the Southern Territories. Under the Delacroiz administration, large industries - including his former employer Nuveau Pétrol - were courted and incentivized to move in production into remote areas of continental Inyursta. This drew both heavy criticism and praise. On one hand, the actions of Alvaro Delacroiz and his political allies brought investment and jobs to the region, which provided for a better overall economic situation and more money for police and national guard to combat the marxist terrorists and drug cartels. On the other hand it put precious rainforest habitats at risk, as well as raised equal concerns of corruption and cronyism that Nuveau Pétrol benefitted from their former employee's actions as governor.

In 2010 he was recruited by the campaign of political independent Jack Peresque due to his perceived economic success which fit somewhat with the model of "Peresquénomics" used following the latter's victory in the présidential election. Delacroiz was then appointed Secretary of Monetary Policy, where he served for eight years under the highly popular Peresque administration.

Following the success and popularity of the previous administration, présidential hopeful Jean-Baptiste Calderone selected Delacroiz as his pick for Subprésident, in hopes of winning over voters on the fence who might swing towards rival Jacob de la Porçéza due to his claimed similarity with the former président. Whether or not this tactic worked is disputed, but regardless Delacroiz became Subprésident in 2018, and continues to serve today.
