Aftermath
The Conservative Party won 337 seats (a majority of 25). Andrew Christian, the Leader of the Conservative Party, formed a Conservative-only government, and dismissed Henry Brewer as Deputy Prime Minister. Through deaths, defections and by-elections, the Conservatives' majority was slowly diminished, and they lost it completely on 28 May 1922 through another by-election loss, now only on 325 seats. Christian immediately prorogued Parliament, and dissolved it on 2 June 1922 for a snap election to increase his majority.
