Elections to the Legislative Council were held in Alscia on 20 May 1916. The Donatella Rossetti government was re-elected, winning one less seat than 1912.
The outbreak of the Divide War before two months before polling influenced the result slightly, making it something of an Alscian khaki election. The Donatella Rossetti government refused to assist the Cacertian Empire during the war, reserving the Border Guard solely for the Border War. Donatella called on voters to return the government with a majority, as a rebuke to pressure from Vichenza.
The PCA's leader Alessandro Martella regained the seat he'd lost 4 years before, aided by some unexpected vote transfers from SP and SDP voters. He benefited from taking a strong anti-war line, criticising the Divide War as an "imperialist folly".
This was the first election where the FPP failed to win all comuni — Castelrosso and Villanova gave a majority to the PdL in the final count.
