The New Reich (Altische: Neureich) more commonly known as simply Valkist Altenland is a country located in central Cybellum. It borders Kingdom of Hecynia to the south, Volkhov to the east and the Auvernian Federation to the west. Altenland was founded as a independent state in 1840 after Pierre's Conquest, after which the Altish state of Schaffenland conquered the remaining unincorporated Altish states into a unified Altish state. In 1919 Altenland lost the Great War and was forced to make concessions to the victorious powers. Kaiser Siegfried III was deposed and Altenland became a republic. In 1927, the ultranationalist Die Neureich Koalition, composed of the Valkistische Volkspartei (Espousing Valkism) the Vaterländisch Arbeiterpartei (espousing People's Socialism), the Kochists (a splinter of the Arbeiterpartei) and the Eigenständigkeit (A "popular movement" that promotes self-suffiency as it's primary goal) alongside other groups, such as local Freikorps and Blackshirts launched a coup taking over the city of Eisenplatz. The Koailtion gave the ruling Volkskonservativerpartei a period of 24 hours to either resign or face a armed insurrection. After the party resigned, the four major forces within the Koatilion took power in Altenland with the VV taking helm under Führer Franz Neumann, establishing an authortarian goverment.
