The Belfrasian Special Operations Command (B-SOC or SOC) is the subordinate service branch charged with overseeing the Special Operations units of the Army, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Marines and the Royal Navy. While the Special Operations Command receive orders from the branches it is subordinate to, it may be overruled and directly commanded by the Secretary of Defence or the Prime Minister at any time.

The Special Operations Command was created in the seventies in order to more properly organize and ensure cross-service training and liaison between the units. Since it's activation, the SOC has participated in many overseas operations of the Armed Forces.

B-SOC often conducts covert and clandestine missions, both with the Royal Intelligence Agency's Special Activities Division (SAD) or by itself. In normal operations, the SOC is a middle-man between a larger branch and it's Special Operations Unit, but when different Special Operations Unit's need to work together for an operation, B-SOC takes command of the operation.

• The Myrmidon Special Operations Group or SECGRU was originally an army-exclusive special operations outfit assembled during the Western Civil War. They were informally detached from the Army in 1950 and became a cross-service SF unit with many of it's operators coming from all four main branches.

• The 1st Mountaineer Regiment (Army Rangers) is the premier light-infantry unit of the Belfrasian Army. Despite being a mountaineer regiment, they are frequently called upon to plan and execute special operations in support of both Belfrasian policy and larger Army operations in many environments across the world. The Mountaineers are a flexible and rapid-deployable force capable of mobilizing to an objective anywhere in the world within twelve hours notice. They are most commonly deployed in advance of main Army units to gather intelligence on important road ways or to secure a path through enemy territory. They've also been successfully deployed by air, land, and sea to destroy key enemy locations behind enemy lines.

• Army Special Forces (ASF) perform several doctrinal missions for the Army and B-SOC: unconventional warfare, foreign internal defence, reconnaissance, direct action, and counter-terrorism operations.

• The Special Operations Aviation Command, headquartered in Kenwadi, provides aviation support to units within B-SOC. The Command consists of specially modified in-service helicopters for both infiltration/exfiltration and direct assault missions. It's primary focus is on night-time operations.

• The Army Psychological Warfare Group (PSYWAR) are tasked by B-SOC and the Army during military-led hostage negotiations or to influence enemy forces by shifting perception and encouraging a desired behaviour. PSYWAR supports national objectives on strategic and tactical levels.

• 152nd Civil Response Unit specialists are tasked with on-standby mobilization in the event of a national disaster or war. They're capable of identifying civilian requirements, locating civilian resources for military units, and minimizing civilian interference with operations. Specialists in this unit are linguistically and culturally learned in multiple languages and cultures to better coordinate with civilians in environments across the world.
