Tia High, Countess of Scarlett Orient Isles (born 2nd Feburary 1980) is a West Phoenician politician and member of Antebellum Conservative Party.
Countess Tia High is now serving Prime Minister of Empire of West Phoenicia having served since 2 November 2019.
Early Life and Education
Tia High was born in the province of Shinto Azure, Scarlett Orient Isles, West Phoenicia.
Her mother Dahlia High ran a successful chain of seafood restaurants throughout a number of city-states in West Phoenicia.
Her father Thom High was often away from home, working as a petty officer in the West Phoenician Navy.
Tia attended Red Sun City Girl's Grammer where she excelled in politics, geography, english and latin.
Tia was a member of the school's fencing team, her talent earned her a full athletic scholarship to the University of Scarlett Orient Isles.
Tia attended the University of Scarlett Orient Isles where she studied a Bachelor of Political Science.
Early Career
After graduating from the University of Scarlett Orient Isles in 2001, she volunteered to work as an intern for Jacob Sails, a member of the West Phoenician House of Representatives.
Jacob Sails was member of Congress for the province of Shinto Azure in the city-state of Scarlett Orient Isles. He was affiliated with the than Conservative Party before it merged with the Antebellum Party in 2019.
In 2002 Tia was hired as a senior aide, campaigning for the re-election of Jacob Sails.
Her mother wanted Tia to take over the family business, but Tia aspired for a career in politics and was happy in her position as senior aide.
Political Career
In 2006, her boss Jacob Sails chose not to run again due to retirement.
At the urging of her husband and Jacob Sails, Tia was urged to run for one of the three seats on offer for the Shinto Azure province. Believing she now possessed enough experience to begin her own political career.
She had the endorsement from Jacob Sails as well as heavy involvement in community affairs in the city-state.
She also had roots in the community that made her more preferable than members who lived outside of their own province they represented.
Initially upon her annoucement she was pursued by the West Phoenician Aristocracy Party due to her new arisrocratic connections.
However she choose to stay aligned with the Conservative Party.
Prior to the 2007 National General Election Jacob Sails held his seat with 70.5% of the vote.
Tia High was successful in obtaining one of the seats on offer in Shinto Azure, however she now held the West for the Conservative Party by a margin of 65%.
Tia High was quite vocal about gender equality and was appointed to the House of Representatives Equal Opportunity Committee. She supported the need for greater protections for small business owners, and the opening of government funded hotels where people who have been made homeless can reside until they get back on their feet. She chose an aura of moderate beliefs to avoid suffering the fate of many who opposed Queen Jezebel Bush
In 2010 she was reelected for her district in the Shinto Azure province. It was also the year The Conservative Party claimed power and Glenton Gryphon-Bush II became emperor.
Jimmy Bain, The new Prime Minister Jimmy appointed her in the role of Minister of Womens Affairs. A role she held dear from 1 November 2010 – 31 October 2013.
Tia was so so appointed to a number of other committes including the West Phoenicia Senate Defence Forces Committee where she advocated for equal representation of male and female officers, which currently stand at 70% male. She has noted she is not a feminist, just an equal opportunist as she has also called for an increase of men on often female dominated industries.
Various groups have critised Tia High for her wanting a 50-50 gender balance in a host of occupations. The best candidate for the role often being overlooked in favour of gender balance.
In 2013 she was successful in winning the party room election for Deputy Prime Minister, winning 60% of the Coalition, party room vote.
She has also won reelection for her district in each General National Election.

Winning the confidence of the Coalition and the position of Deputy Prime Minister from 1 November 2013 was a huge endorsement and feather in her cap.
Personal Life
In the year 2002 while attending the Silver Cloud Opera with a close friend, she was introduced to Christian Malvern; Count of Scarlett Orient Isles.
The two hit it off and began to date.
On March 10th 2003, the West Phoenician Newspapers announced the engagement of the couple.
On December 25th the couple married at the Holy Mother Mary's Chapel, in front of two thousand guests.
As a wedding gift,she was bestowed the title of 3rd Countess of Scarlett Orient Isles as well as 1st Baroness of Shinto Azure.
She received a brand new 6 bedroom home in a wealthy suburb of Red Sun City and a brand new Lamborghini.
On June 12th 2006 she gave birth to their first child Lady Angelina Malvern.
On January 28th 2009 she gave birth to their son Lord Joshua Malvern.
On September 9th 2011 she gave birth to their last child Lady Kirsten Malvern.
The couple lead quite busy lives, when they can arrange free time, they partake in clay pigeon shooting at their country estate.
Tia enjoys making her own scented candles and perfumes.
Tia is passionate about fashion and is often seen at many fashion shows hosted throughout the year.
