The Kryvian-Crimean War, aslo known as the Russo-Crimean War, the Kryvian-Crimean conflict, or the Novorossiyan War was a war between Crimea and the self-proclaimed republic of Kryve. The war started place in August 1991 following a period of tension between Slavic groups wishing for more autonomy and Crimean politicians wishing to retain a unitary state. The fighting took place in the strategically important Donbass region.
