The TIER Kit as its known in English, also known in French as the Trousse Individuel d'Intervention Rapide, abbreviated as TIER is a first aid kit designed the Sieuxerrian Ministry of Defense in 2015 and accepted into service in 2016. It replaced the older kit, the Trousse Individuelle pour Detachement d'Intervention, also known as TIDI. It featured a number of improvements over the previous kit including:

  • Replacement of older tourniquet with new, rapid application. Added an additional tourniquet as well
  • Nasopharyngeal airway device for airway maintenance
  • Eye shield to protect injuries to the eye and prevent pressure of being applied when bandages are applied to local area
  • Replacement of Aspirin, which could cause uncontrollable hemorrhaging due to its anti-platelet properties with Acetaminophen for pain and fever management
  • Added Sulfadiazine antibiotics
  • Replaced older style gauze dressing with new emergency trauma bandages with built in pressure device
  • Addition of hemostatic dressing
  • Added a Treatment Information Card, known as the Carte d'Information sur le Traitement and marker with zip-tie for labeling injuries and treatment regimens given
  • New pouch designed with a Velcro pad on the front for patches with the soldier's blood type for rapid identification for blood transfusions.

The contents of the kit are:

  • 6" Emergency Truama Bandage
  • 2x Tourniquet, Combat Application
  • Hemostatic Bandage
  • 2x 500mg Tylenol Tablets
  • 500mcg Sulfadiazine Tablet
  • Surgical Tape
  • Nasopharyngeal Airway (Size 32FR, 7.5mm) w/ Water-based lubricant package
  • Eye Shield
  • 2x pair of large non-latex gloves
  • First Aid Industruction card
  • Perminant Marker
  • Injuried Personnel Card
  • Zip-tie
