Mos Maiorum (English: Way of the Ancestors) was the primary religion of the Sabrian Empire and encompasses the beliefs, rituals, and mythologies that originated in ancient Cacerta. The practice of Mos Maiorum focused on the worship of four goddesses—Veturia, Aelia, Septimia, and Hostilia—each of whom is linked to one of the four seasons.

Mos Maiorum is also broken down into two distinct cults, the Cult of Transformation—which focuses on growth and change—and the Cult of Preservation—emphasizing the maintenance of balance and the status quo. The mythology of Mos Maiorum has Veturia and Septimia as the Goddesses of Transformation whereas Aelia and Hostiliar serve as the Goddesses of Preservation. Despite having differing ideologies, it is recorded that the two Cults existed in a well-formed balance.

The worship of these deities was found across eastern Tyran, although the Empire itself did not force its religion on any of its colonies or vassal states and, therefore, was mainly practiced in the Cacertian archipelago. After the dissolution of the Sabrian Empire, the practice of Mos Maiorum continued until it was eventually superseded by Sofianism in the modern era. Despite its loss of popularity, Mos Maiorum is still practiced throughout Cacerta today.
