The Union of Republics (UoR), sometimes known as Unitea, is a nation spanning much of the continent of Alandria. It consists of 40 republics, a federal district and some minor possessions abroad. With a land area of 240,653 square miles, it stands as the third largest nation in the world, behind Sierroslavia and ahead of Achenory. With a population of over 392 million people, it is the second most-populous nation in the world, behind the Commonwealth and ahead of Volkish Federation. The national capital is Marotta, and the most populous city Vastecote City.
