AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1977
AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1977 is the twentieth edition of the annual AleziRadio Festival of Songs. The competition is held by the authorities in Radio Tel Hadiv - Yezateinu. This is the second time that Tel Hadiv hosted the competition in their soil, after doing so in 1961. This makes Tel Hadiv as one of the few region who already hosted the competition more than once.
The City of Tel Hadiv is known for its beaches and beautiful sunset, even if it's located in the Northern parts of the country. At the time of the competition, the City of Tel Hadiv houses 643,800 people in its land, mostly consisting of people of Jewish descent while there's also a noticeable amount of Christian and Muslims which are mostly Russian Muslims living harmoniously.
Meshaveshet Hall which was selected to be the venue in a bidding round against other venue in Tel Hadiv such as Tel Hadiv City Hall, Me'akoshvet Theatre, Da'omida Restaurant (which would be emptied during weeks of the competition), a bid from the 2nd biggest city in the region 70 kilometers away from Tel Hadiv which is Yezateinu in Maheshvilka Performing Arts Centre, and a bid to reuse the Ayonshel Port Warehouse, this time utilizing the roof.
The Meshaveshet Hall (or at the time known as Mesha'on) can seat 2,700 people at maximum, and with ARFOS, the seat count got adapted to 2,200 people. And once again, tickets for the competition sold out weeks before the competition. At that time, due to the previous years' audience's occasional "rudeness", the organizers of ARFOS would share small booklets about manners in the Hall such as not booing and not throwing products.
At this time, AleziRadio once again failed to answer to the proposals for a Television broadcast, once again reasoning that the funds and technology of television not being able to broadcast a two-hour music competition to an audience of 200 million. Once again, Radio Pyalivostok and Radio Zafizamarrah warned AleziRadio that if there's no Television broadcast before 1981, then the two radios would withdraw from ARFOS starting from 1981.
This edition, numerous artists returned to the competition. Dobronok Tabarnovich from 1961 and Two time winner Aziz Goridagyev Novogrody who won in 1958 and 1969 returned representing Pyalivostok, Emma Wakings from 1961 returned for Bristol, Dorothae Revennais and Santa Liliace returned for Aramna.
