Mesopotamia, officially the Islamic Republic of Mesopotamia (Arabic: جمهورية بلاد ما بين النهرين الإسلامية, al-Jumhūrīyah al-Islāmīyah Bilād Ma Bāyn al-Nahrāyn), is a country located in West Asia, bordering Chaldea to the north, Djazirah to the west, Nejd to the south, Iran to the northeast, and Kuwait to the east, it's capital is Bursah,

Shias have made a significant presence in the region that would become Mesopotamia ever since the Sunni-Shia slipt when it was ruled by Safvid Iran, only to be conquered by the Ottoman Turks. colonial mapmakers who had made the Kingdom of Iraq in 1921. Under the rule of Sunni Arab Hashemites, Shia Arabs were sidelined and excluded from power even when the Kingdom was overthrown in 1958 and replaced with a Ba'athist republic. With the outbreak of thr Iran-Iraq War, Shia Iraqi elements sympathetic to the Shia Iranians began to organize, presenting a dire threat to the Sunni-majority government. In early 1987 Basrah fell to Iranian forces, prompting a wave of anti-Sunni violence across southern Iraq. The Iranians set up a puppet government in Bursa to replace Saddam's regime, but was turn into a court
