Cordonia, also called the Cordonian Commonwealth, is a country in western Europe. Cordonia has different minimum legal ages for various legal activities codified in national statue, royal decrees and court rulings. Generally, minimum legal ages were created by Cordonia's twelve duchies but subsequently unified at the national level in 1961 following constitutional reforms proposed by King Dirk II and ratified by the Parliament of Cordonia. After 1961, the general age of majority was set at 21 years of age to match neighboring countries influenced by British common law. In 1970, under the Ages of Capacity Act, the age of majority was lowered to 20 years of age and has remained that age since.

The court cited that minors do not have the mental capacity to understand the crimes committed and that they must enter alternative treatment. Before the ruling, the minimum age of criminal responsibility was 0 in the Lythikos, 10 in Portavira, 11 in Valtoria, and 12 in the other ten duchies.
  • b Persons 14 years of age or older may consume beer and wine in restaurants. A person 20 years of age or older must purchase the alcoholic beverage for the minor and it must be consumed with food. Possession of beer and wine is prohibited by persons under 16 in Lythikos.
