General elections was held in Alvsberg on 21 July 2022 to elect all 174 members of the Riksting. The election was supposed to be held in 2023 but due to the 2022 government crisis and the Riksting being unable to elect a new government a snap election was ordered. The Election was extremely close between the Agrarian Homeland Party and its coalition partners and the Social Democratic and its centre left coalition , but in the end the Social Democrats won with 6 more coalition seats.
