Nikaia (Greek: Νίκαια, romanized: Nikea) is a city in central Romaia, capital of Galatia, and the second-most populous city in Romaia after Constantinoupoli. The city has a population of about 2.5 million inhabitants.
Nikaia is considered a leader city, with strengths in the fields of art, commerce, design, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media (communication), services, research and tourism. In terms of GDP, Nikaia is one of the wealthiest cities in Romaia.
Nikaia is a major railway, highway, and air-transport hub served by two international airports. Opened in 1959, the city's metro system, the Nikaia Metro, serves 2.23 million passengers daily; Nikaia-central is the 8th-busiest railway station in Romaia.
