Apennine, officially the Apennine Republic is a country that primarily consists of the Apennine Peninsula and the islands within the Tramontane Sea. Apennine bordered to the north by Nassau and Vistulzka, and shares a land border with the Maghrebine on the island of Linusa. Apennine is considered to be part of both Central Atalan and West Atalan. Apennine is a unitary congressional republic with its capital in Padova. It's position in occupying both the Tramontane Sea and the Ostro Sea histroically defined Apennine as a keypoint in international trade.
During the Early Middle Ages, Apennine went through the Apennine Heroplaven and the Apennine Unification Wars throughout the entirity of the 12th century through the 16th century. Apennine had been historically made up of quarreling city-states and confederal bands. Trade, commerce and banking defined the characteristics that early republics within Apennine lived through. Apennine during this time went through several unification wars between Libecco and Sirocco.
