The Germanic Führer, in full the Germanic Führer of the Greater Germanic Reich of the German Nation (German: Germanischer Führer des Großgermanisches Reich deutscher Nation), is the ceremonial leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party. Constitutionally, the Germanic Führer is labelled as the "symbol of the nation, the Germanic peoples, and National Socialism". The position, first held by Adolf Hitler, was originally identical with the positions of Reich President and Reich Chancellor; following his death, the positions were re-established and their duties split. As a largely ceremonial role stripped from most of its power, the duties of the Germanic Führer consist of representing the NSDAP abroad as well as general party activities.
