The 3rd Vermont Royal Volunteer Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment that was created during the Concordian Civil War. During its organization, it was designated as a zouave regiment, which are soldiers known for its unusual dress style. What made them more unusual, as well as unique is the regiment's style of the zouave uniform, which consists of red pants, orange lines and green caps. Because of this dress style, they are usually nicknamed the Autumn Zouaves.
