Sitia (Piraese: Σητεία) is a region of Piraea. It borders clockwise, the regions of Samariá, Foinikas, the Souda Riviera and Amathia. It is the second largest region of Piraea by population, with a total 753,528 inhabitants spread, mostly, along its coast. Inland Sitia is considered the bread basket of Piraea due to the large contribution of agriculture to the economy, highlighting the production of wheat and cereal.
