The Aurean Tunnels are a set of undersea tunnels traversing the Western Aurean Strait between Montecara and Paretia. They consist of two twin-bore tunnels, one each for road and rail. Planned and built between 1960 and 1987, they were one of the most expensive engineering projects in world history.

The tunnels run under the island of Madona, which is home to much of their ventilation, maintenance, and firefighting infrastructure.
