The Mausolea per les Marturs de la Republique (Mausoleum for the Martyrs of the Republic), or simply the Mausolea per les Marturs (Mausoleum for the Martyrs), is a war memorial dedicated to Midrasian soldiers and civilians killed during conflict. Though originally designed as a monument to Midrasian soldiers who had died during the Great War, the site soon came to be viewed as a monument to all Midrasians who had lost their lives in times of conflict. The site features the Midrasian Tomb of the Unknown Warrior and plays host to the country's annual remembrance ceremony which takes place on Armistice day on October 12th.
The site is built upon the battleground of one of the most pivotal battles of the First Great War, the Battle of Parédix which finally saw Midrasian forces break through Veleazan lines, though not without significant losses. Originally designed in 1905, construction would not be complete until after 1939 due to the outbreak of the Second Great War and considerable planning issues the project faced along the way. The monument is also home to a monastery of the Minicunian Order of the Cathartic Faith who are responsible for the general maintenance of the site whilst also providing their services for soldiers killed in conflict. However, the addition of the monastery was a controversial subject as it did not exist within the initial plans for the site. Many also believed the addition of an Alydian site at the monument undermined the multifaith nature of the Midrasian military even during the Great Wars.
