Historical rankings of prime ministers of Satavia

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Several surveys of academics, politicians and members of the public have been conducted in an attempt to rank the prime ministers of Satavia. Some surveys have ranked the prime ministers of Satavia since 1816, whilst others have ranked them since 1976. Sydney Warwick, Johan van Vallier and Edward Limes generally appear at the top, whilst Maximilian Dumfries and Harry Goldmann generally appear at the bottom. All surveys have excluded Johannes Klopper on account of his short period of service.

Surveys of historians

The Satavian (1986)

In 1986, The Satavian asked almost 500 historians to rank every prime minister since 1816 (excluding incumbent Leander Kokkinakis, and Johannes Klopper). Respondants were asked to rank a prime minister on a scale of 1-5; five points were awarded for prime ministers judged as "outstanding", four for "good", three for "average", two for "below average" and one for "failure". This was the only survey conducted by The Satavian to include the prime ministers of the National Party; subsequent surveys excluded them. Remarkably, all of the national party leaders ranked higher than the democratically-elected Harry Goldmann.
