Sterkistan, officially known as the Constitutional Monarchy of Sterkistan is a Monarchy west of the Nordisk Sea in Euronia. It is bordered by Denzal to the east and shares a maritime border with Odoni. Sterkistan is a mountainous region made up primarily by boreal forest in the north and hemiboreal biomes in the south. Sterkistan is notable for it's expansive mountain ranges that stretch across the country and the Lakes and rivers that populate them across different altitudes. Sterkistan has a combined population of over 10 million people and is moderately urbanised, with 79% of the population living in city centres. The vast majority of the population are Ethnic Sterkians, with other ethnicities only reporting at 12% of the population. The capital city is Vetstuna, while it's largest city and economic hub is Joenkinen. Other major cities include Kitu and Simola. Sterkistan recognises multiple national and regional languages and dialects, including a nationally recognised sign language.
The Sterkian economy is efficient and specialised, producing high-quality and complex products including furniture and renewable energy technologies. Sterkistan is a highly developed nation, offering free public healthcare and tertiary education. But has historically been controversial for comparably poor civil rights and freedoms, such as mandatory military service and an income tax rate of 58%.
