Suácismo is a term given to the period when José Fulgencio Suácos governed Costa Madora as President in the mid-to-late 19th century, and coined by Madorian historian Neizan Acorres. Having been appointed President by the National Assembly in 1843, Suácos pursued, from 1849 onwards, the policy of "order and progress", inviting foreign investment in Costa Madora and maintaining social and political order, by force if necessary. There were significant economic, technological, social, and cultural changes during this period. The 1876–1877 development of the Second Madorian Civil War is seen as the end of Suácismo.
