Alina Kosova (Russian: Алина Косова) known professionally as Лера (born 23 January 2001)
Early life
Alina Kosova was born on 23 January 2001 - the only child of Alyona, a doctor, and Alexander, a construction worker. According to the singer during an interview with What's New!, for as long as she could remember, loved everything to do with singing and music. At the age of four her parents tried to send her to Osti Royal Academy of the Arts, but were forced withdraw her from the musical school because of bullying and Alina constantly being made fun of by her classmates due to her speech impediment. Continuing the to study music at home with private tutor, she started to experiment with different genres and develop her signature style. It was only at the age of 14, that she was finally able to overcome her speech impediment - with the help of psychologists and the support of her parents.
According to the singer, her musical journey officially began when she joined a local music group in March 2015 after overcoming her speech impediment.

Alina's big break came on 25 June 2019, when she released the song Влюбился в другую (Fell in Love with an another) on social media

Musical style
Liza has expressed admiration for Reeztochka's storytelling abilities in her music videos and her willingness to tackle complex and thought-provoking themes. In crafting her song "Влюбился в другую ," Liza told What's New! that she wanted to infuse the video with a narrative depth and complexity reminiscent of Reeztochka's song Run, run, run.
Personal Life
Beyond her music career, Liza is known for her deep sense of family and religiosity on her public social accounts. She often credits her family's unwavering support as a driving force behind her success and reportedly bought them an expensive house in Osti. After winning the the Best Song of the Year during the 2022 Cosacakaya Music Award, she dedicated it towards her parents - famously bringing them on stage in tears.

During interviews, she has spoken how it's important for celebrities' to use it their celebrity in order to make a positive impact on society. She actively participates in raising money for Feed the Children Foundation that provides free school lunches to underprivileged schoolchildren. Liza was in a long-term on-again, off-again relationship with her classmate [PLACEHOLDER] who she met and started dating as a teenager at her local music group.
