The Federate Union (Tasian: Федерален съюз: romanized: Federalen sŭyuz) is a country in the East. It is a federal union of 3 constituent countries—Tassia, Olegria, and Ardelania—and several other possessions.
Human activity in the East and what is now the Federate Union has been attested to since the Early era. Following the dissaperence of the Eastern Empire, various Sanctual kingdoms emerged which would later form the basis of nationstates of the East. The origins of the Federate Union in the Eastern Revolutions, where the Federate movement declared the Department of Olegria and Tasia in 1830 and 1833 respectively. The territories formally united to form the Federate Union in 1840 under the leadership of General Olodon Dimon. Through conquest, Dimon expanded the territory of the Federate Union to include Gasaria, Khersia, Novdon, and Ardelania before his death in 1861. The Federate Union emerged as a great power and further expanded its influence during and after the East-West War from 1928 to 1948 against western hegemon Avalon.
After the onset of the Slowdown in the 1950s, the Federate Union witness an unprecedented economic slowdown. The Popular Uprisings led to the bilateral secession of Gasaria, Khersia, and Novdon under General Oscu Mesan who was overthrown in the 1970 Federate coup d'état. The Federate Union invade Gasaria in 1976 but withdrew its forces in 1988 following the Eastern Accords. The country attacked Gasaria again in 1994 and has occupied parts of the Solon province since.
The Federate Union is a federal postnational constitutional republic divided into constituent countries. Federally there is no official language; Olegrian and especially Tasian are the dominant working languages.
The Federate Union is considerable power with a large economy largely focused on industry, followed closely by services and energy. The Federal Military Force has the largest standing army in the World. A self-proclaimed meritocratic oligarchy, the state is criticized for a percieved lack of human and political rights.
