Amau Dynamics Corporation (AD), formerly known as Laurein Aircraft Company, is a Meridonian publicly-traded Template:WP corporation headquartered in Alanstown, Alexandria Territory specialized in the production and distribution of Military vehicles including the FV58 Huntsman main battle tank and the Advanced Modular Mobility Vehicle family of armored fighting vehicles, and naval gun systems such as the Type 42 4.5in guns and Goalkeeper 40 25mm CIWS. It is the 3rd largest defense contractor in Meridon behind Gruening and Ausaine.
Amau Dynamics originated as the Amau Motorworks Corporation in 1894, gaining early contracts to produce automobiles for the Meridon Defense Forces before moving to specialize in defense contracting via mergers and consolidation from the 1920s. Amau has merged with a number of smaller defense contractors in
aerospace company that designs, produces, and sells aircraft, rotorcraft, aircraft equipment and avionics, and missiles, in addition to leasing and product support services. It is one of the largest defense contractors in Meridon. Laurein is headquartered in Kohina, Mahine Territory.
Laurein originated as the Laurein Aircraft Company in 1920 by Pierre Laurein. Laurein specialized in heavy and commuter aircraft from its inception, creating the first commercially viable multiengine plane in Meridonian service, and has remained dominant in the Meridonian commercial aviation market for large airliners. Its attempts to enter the small and midsized corporate markets have been rebuffed by more established manufacturers such as Lanceair and TBD.
