Lyrics

Galician lyrics English translation

I
Oh, patria - magnífica, gloriosa
Estrela brillante dos ceo sempre anil
Filla das mans piadosas dos santos,
Nai do teu glamour veranil.

Que os ecos da nosa terra,
Soar ao mundo escoitando.
E que vexan en que nos convertimos,
Unha avalancha que vai xurdindo.

Refrão:
Oh, Trenado! Oh, Trenado!
Canta historia tes que vivir!
O teu pobo está destinado,
Mirando como evoluciona o país!

II
No noso territorio agosto,
Tiranía non é unha solución;
Democracia é o que queremos,
Incluso está na palma da túa man.

Deslumbra a túa liberdade,
Baixo os ollos dun fillo forte,
Sementando unha semente de amor,
Que florece cada estación!

Refrão

I
O homeland - magnificent, glorious
Shining star of the always-indigo sky
Daughter of the merciful hands of saints,
Mother of thy summery glamour.

May the echoes of our land,
Sound through the hearing world,
And they see what we have become,
An avalanche that emerges.

Chorus:
O, Trenado! O, Trenado!
How much history you have to live!
Your people are destined,
To see the land evolve!

II
In our august territory,
Tirany is not a solution;
Democracy is what we want,
It's even in the palm of our hands.

Dazzle your freedom,
Under the eyes of a strong son,
Planting a seed of love,
That flourishes every season!

Chorus

Notes

  1. Román Bocanegra is often credited by historical sources as a partial writer for the song, though his name is not featured in official documents.
