LUV-80 Light Utility Vehicle
The LUV-80 is a modern 4WD utility vehicle built in a contract for the Holy Empire of Fogumata to replace their fleet of HMMWVs. According to the contract, the Fogumatan Army wanted a vehicle that was a general improvement over the HMMWV but in particular they wanted an increased mine resistance and greater mobility in tough terrain. Scion Defence designed the LUV-80 for this purpose and the Confederate Military was quick to acquire permanent DPR rights for the platform. The LUV-80 has been in use in the Confederate Military for several decades.
Description
The LUV-80 features greater ground clearance than a standard HMMWV[1], better all around armour than most light utility vehicles, and is complimented by a mine-resistant V shaped under hull. A wide variety of armament mounting choices make it an excellent platform to use by scouting or forward-operating elements in any ground force engagements. It comes standard with an independent 4x4 transmission capable of handling most of what the modern battlefield has to offer, thanks to the added power provided by its SAE-15 12 cylinder diesel engine.
