The Timerian Armed Forces serve as the military forces of Timeria, playing a vital role in the nation’s defense and security. Commanded by the President of Timeria, who serves as the Commander in Chief, the armed forces are organized under the Department of Defense (DoD), with the Coast Guard operating under the Department of Homeland Security. With a robust domestic defense industry, a significant global presence, and membership in international alliances such as the Pan-Adulan Defense Coalition, the Timerian Armed Forces are recognized as a regional power with advanced military capabilities.
History
The Timerian Armed Forces have a storied history of defending national interests and participating in global conflicts. From the Barretoan Wars in the 1830s, which established Timeria’s naval prominence, to the World War in 1951 that spurred the growth of the domestic defense industry, Timeria has played a key role in regional and global security. In more recent years, the Armed Forces have participated in peacekeeping missions in Jaginistan, supported rebel forces during the Birat Civil War, and conducted security operations in Kossmil. The 2022 invasion of Azil, in coordination with Somodi, marked a significant display of Timeria’s military capabilities.
Current structure
Commander in Chief: The President of Timeria holds ultimate authority over the armed forces, making critical decisions in national security and military operations. The President is advised by the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Secretary of Defense: The Department of Defense, led by Secretary Celenoria Nari, is responsible for providing the military forces necessary to protect Timeria’s security and deter war. The Secretary of Defense oversees the operations of the Timerian Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force.
Joint Chiefs of Staff: The Joint Chiefs of Staff, although outside the operational chain of command, is the senior-most military body in Timeria. Led by the Chairman, this group provides military advice to the President, Secretary of Defense, and National Security Council. The Joint Chiefs include senior military leaders from each branch of the armed forces.
National Security Council: Comprising the President, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Homeland Security, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other key officials, the National Security Council advises the President on military, foreign policy, and national security matters.
Command Structure
The Timerian Armed Forces are organized into several specialized commands, each focused on distinct aspects of military operations:
Strategic Strike Command: Led by General Alaric Tarnas, this command is responsible for planning and executing large-scale offensive operations, including missile strikes, air campaigns, and precision bombing. Strategic Strike Command plays a crucial role in Timeria's ability to project power and deter potential adversaries.
Homeland Defense Command: Under the leadership of General Mirabelle Kael, this command specializes in defensive operations, safeguarding Timeria's borders, airspace, and critical infrastructure. Homeland Defense Command is integral to maintaining national security and responding to domestic threats.
Asymmetric Warfare Command: Led by General Caelum Ashford, this command focuses on unconventional warfare tactics, including counterterrorism, cyber warfare, and psychological operations. Asymmetric Warfare Command is designed to combat irregular threats and engage in non-traditional military operations.
Expeditionary Warfare Command: Commanded by General Lyra Corvus, this command manages Timeria’s overseas deployments, conducting expeditionary operations, peacekeeping missions, and humanitarian interventions. Expeditionary Warfare Command ensures Timeria's ability to operate globally and support international allies.
Operational Structure
The Timerian Armed Forces operate under a doctrine of combined arms and maneuver warfare, emphasizing the integration of various military branches to achieve swift and decisive victories. This approach allows for flexibility and adaptability in rapidly changing combat scenarios, with a large Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) corps empowered to make quick decisions on the ground.
