In Realms, a Starchild (Chinese: 仙子, pinyin: xiānzǐ) is a hybrid between a Celestial and a parent from another species.
Design
Starchildren typically share the appearance of the average person of their non-Celestial parent's species, or, if it's the same, the original species of both parents. For instance, the Starchild Sorority all look like humans. The only notable exception in their appearance is the presence of a Mark of the Starchild, a birthmark resembling a constellation (explained below).
Overview
Unlike their Celestial parents, Starchildren draw cosmic energy from their Mark for a limited time. At first, they can only do this unconsciously under extreme stress, but can be trained to do so at will. The duration a starchild activates his/her Mark can also be trained.
