Nor is a Region of Greater Normark that lies in the centre of the country. The capital is the historical town Ubsola, but the largest city is Fredriksnes with a population of 57,000. Other cities of note in the region are the former textile city of Blofoss and the former trading centre of Naav. Nor just means north, and the name was given to the region by the Bjurå merchants that traded with the pepple there, and then the name was used for the Petty Kingdom of Nor which is often seen as the first version of Normark. The region is deep with history and old towns like Ubsola and Naav, both having been created during the first millenium, but the region also had several towns and cities that bloomed during the industrial revolution like Blofoss and Fredriksnes.
