Østvapmi is a Region of Greater Normark that lies in the northwestern parts of the country. The capital and largest city is the culturally important vapmi city of Luonddogietkka, with a population of 18,000. Other cities of note in the region are the old normarkian reformation town of Erikshus and the former mining town of Stuoru Johka.
Østvapmi is one of three regions in Greater Normark that also works as autonomous regions, to give more autonomy to the majority of minority indigienous people living in this regions. Out of the 61,000 people living in the region, are 42,000 close descendants to or born into the Vapmi people, which consists of several different folks that are indigienous to northern Normark and lived in regions that aren't seen as historical Normark.
