Victor Karlirin (2 May 1890 - 20 April 1962) was a Libriran, Soldier, Politician and Diplomat in the late syndicalist period. After serving his national service out, he became involved in the STS the Libriran Syndicalist Citizens Organization, particularly in establishing syndicates in southern Librira.
Success in his role led to him becoming a high ranking member in the organization. He decided to run in the 1920 election for the People's Congression, but narrowly lost to Petrov Alandov. He continued to rise through party ranks and popularity. Allowing him in 1935 to run for and get elected to the Premiership, with support from both the SSL and STS.
He is most famous for leading the country through the majority of the 2nd global war. However, several management mistakes during the war almost led to Librira's defeat, and marked a stark decline in the STS' popularity. He was the last STS supported Premier for over 50 years until the election of Vladimir Letski.
Early Life
Victor was born in 1890 in the city of Nieper both his parents were factory workers. When the revolution of 1894 began his parents became involved in the Factory Guard regiments. His father left Victor and his mother to fight with the regiment to liberate the rest of the country, and was killed in November at the Battle of Siepar. The loss of his father didn't affect Victor immediately since it was kept from him. After the revolution he attended school, going to one of the first established public schools in Librira.
After passing school, he was conscripted at 18 into the Libriran army as part of the national service. Primarily his service consisted of, as described in his memoirs "Building works". His unit the 2nd Rifle Division, was responsible for building a military barracks for itself and other units in Nieper state. after his service he signed on for another year, earning the rank of Erfreitor (Corporal). After his second year he declined to re-enlist and became involved in the STS.
Career
Karlirin began with the STS as a volunteer, however got a job as an out-reach assistant, trying to proselytize for the STS in southern Librira. in 1922 the STS began to instead focus on establishing syndicates in the region, in this regard they had more success, Karlirin, was sent out to potential factories to inform them on the process and help them through the conversion. Economic condition in the wake of the first global war, made it advantageous to syndicate, and Karlirin soon became well known in Stepi, as he advised numerous factories and other businesses on the syndication process.
