The University of Riverside, commonly referred to as Riverside University, Riverside, UniRiv, or URiv, is a public, nonsectarian research university located in Riverside, West Aurelia. Established in 1662 by the will of the first governor-general of colonial West Aurelia, Adam Baker, it is the oldest university in West Aurelia. It became a public university in 1905 and is widely regarded as the most prestigious university in the country, especially in the fields of law, political science, international relations, business, and economics. Its reputation in these fields has led to seven presidents counting themselves among the university's alumni, including the incumbent, Stephen Hayes.
