History

The Jeffrian Imperium has a long history covering over 16 trillion years. Much of the Imperium's long history was spent in a series of wars, often referred to as the Xeno Wars. A full account of Jeffrian history will be given in the following sections.

Ancient History

Millions of years before the rise of the Jeffrian Imperium, a different human civilization was rising. Not much is known about them except what little information was found in a few short accounts. It is generally accepted that they had policies not unlike the present Jeffrian Imperium, and that, at their height, they owned most of the home universe. However, they began to stagnate and crumble. Their empire was finally destroyed in the Kedeshi Invasion, about 5 million years before the Jeffrian Imperium. Most of the human race was killed, and those who survived only did so because the Kedeshi invaders missed them. The human race eventually forgot its past greatness and started back in the stone age.

The World Pre-WWIII

By 2030, the world had a few major powers. Emperor Donald I, formerly President Donald Trump, had been Emperor of the American Empire for 10 years by then. The unification of the European Union resulted in the creation of the Fourth German Reich. Vladmir Putin had set to work creating a New Soviet Union. Kim Jong-Un, backed by China, was planning an invasion of South Korea. At this time, Jeffrey, soon to be Imperator, was a prominent businessman who owned a worldwide megacorporation.

Terran Reunification

In 2035, Jeffrey was supervising the creation of the first Lunar colony. He and the crew of the mission found a vault on Luna, which was filled with technology left behind from the ancient humans. Jeffrey learned about the devastation caused by the xenos, so he swore to unify Terra anf gain vengeance. He raised an army of robots in secret. In May of 2041, North Korea invaded South Korea. The American Empire stayed out of the war, hoping for peace. However, on July 11, 2041, the Koreans launched a nuclear attack on Los Angeles, starting World War III. The American Empire and its allies fought against Greater Korea, China, and the New Soviet Union, while Germany began expanding its empire. The next day, July 12, Jeffrey declared the independence of the Jeffrian Imperium, claiming what was then New York City as his own, and declared war on the world. The robot armies swept across the planet quickly. Using advanced technology, the war was over in a few months. The treaty which brought about unification was signed October 15, 2041. Now Imperator Jeffrey was the undisputed ruler of all of Terra, and he rebuilt the planet into his vision. New York City was renamed to Jeffopolis and made the capital. Also, to stop climate change, a brute force approach was taken. Water was dumped in high orbit en masse, and carbon scrubbers were built all over the planet. The dumping of water created Terra's rings, which are still around Terra today. Later, a spaceport was built and a huge fleet of starships was made. By 2053, humans had colonies throughout the entire Sol system. In 2067, humans colonized their first planet outside the Sol system. This planet was Proxima Centauri B, which was renamed to Manifest Destiny.

Entering the Galactic Stage

In 2100, first contact was made with an alien civilization. Upon learning that the dreaded humans were back, they alerted the entire galaxy, but no one believed them. They would surrender immediately. While tensions were rising on Terra, tensions were also rising in the rest of the Milky Way. Four of the most powerful empires in the galaxy, known as the Big Four, were threatening war on each other. One of these was a remnant of the Kedeshi Empire, which had fallen long before. Meanwhile, the Imperator continued conquering. Now it was known that the humans were back, but most aliens were not concerned. Then, war finally started after the Kedeshi insulted another one of them. Thus, the War in Heaven began. They immediately started pulling other empires into the war. The war was officially made a five way war when a small group decided that they would defend each other from all of the others. The Imperator made a decision that would make all of the aliens think he was crazy: he declared war on the entire galaxy. Nobody paid him much attention. But then, he successfully destroyed one of the Big Four, and everyone started getting worried. They decided to band together against him, but it was too late. The war ended when he first used his new world destroyer. The Imperium expanded into other galaxies. After this, cultists began worshipping him, suspecting him to be immortal. As a response, the Imperator declared himself to be God, and changed his title to God-Imperator. By year 1582693692, he had conquered the universe. It would be only a few more years until interuniversal travel was invented. This ends the early history of the Imperium.

The Xeno Wars

With the invention of the interuniversal drive, the Jeffrian Imperium could then expand beyond its home universe, and finally fulfill its dream of conquering all. Upon exiting the home universe, Jeffrians were faced with more xenos than ever before. This often is used to mark the beginning of the First Xeno War. The conflict lasted for most of the Jeffrian Imperium's history, ending relatively shortly after the first encounter with Urana Firma. In the year 16467269232000, the final xeno stronghold of the First Xeno War was reached. The God-Imperator himself led his troops to the final battle of the First Xeno War. He rallied his forces for battle with this speech: "Men! For the past trillions of years, we have been at war with the xeno scum. Today, we will end it. Today, we will all be written down in history. Today, we will make our greatest step yet on our path to eternal glory! Once our banner waves uncontested over this planet, the Imperium will finally be at peace for the first time in its history. Though this will certainly not be our last war, this will be one of our greatest achievements." The battle was a great success for the Jeffrian Imperium, despite the fact that all remaining xeno forces were concentrated on that planet. The God-Imperator raised the Jeffrian banner high on top of the xenos' fortress, and said these unforgettable words to his men below: "Today is a great day. The war is over and we have risen victorious. Today marks the beginning of a golden age of peace and prosperity for our great empire. HAIL!" However, this golden age did not last long. Facing a threat from the Empire of Proxy-Scae, the Jeffrian Imperium accepted subjugation. Also, the God-Imperator quickly tired of peace, and declared a Second Xeno War, and then a Third, and a Fourth. It was presumed that the Fourth Xeno War would be last, since it involved the purging of all xenos in the unclaimed areas of Urana Firma, but the wars continued. Now, in the present, the Tenth Xeno War has ended, and the results look promising. The Imperium has gone into isolation, using FTL inhibitors to keep foreigners out. Now, the Imperium has been at peace for over a decade.

Discovery of Urana Firma

In the year 16467269231823, Jeffrian forces at the front began picking up strange signals from within Xeno Territory. In the year 16467269231920, the source of the signals was found to be from a confederation, mostly dominated by what appeared to be extremely humanoid xenos. Upon closer inspection by means of covert infiltration, abduction, and study of them, it was found that these were not xenos at all, but rather other humans. This was the first such occurrence of humans found outside of the home universe. Soon, contact was established with Urana Firma (UF), a region of space occupied by mostly human nations. It was found that many members of UF were more technologically advanced than the Jeffrian Imperium, due to the Imperium's lack of focus on technology. As a result, the Imperium has built relations with many members of the UF and regularly engages in trade, but also engages in wars with those it sees as enemies.

The Fall of the Imperium

In the Imperium's last year's, the Orks had the entire country surrounded. Using this as leverage, they forced the Imperium into making large reforms to xeno rights. However, the xenos wanted more, and the Imperium was not willing to give more, so the government began the Final Solution to the Xeno Question. All xenos except the Kedeshi and the Daleks were killed. The Orks then threatened to invade, and the God-Imperator initiated the Imperium's self-destruct protocol, and the entire Imperium died. However, his cabinet and the populations of several chosen planets escaped undetected by the Imperium's enemies, and set out to create a New Jeffrian Imperium in secret, and finish the God-Imperator's work.

Geography

Geography between planets can vary greatly. Some may be mountainous, flat, covered in oceans, etc. However, once fully developed, they all tend to be similar in the sense that they have been almost completely cleared away to make room for cities.

Climate

Climate can also vary greatly from planet to planet. On most planets that have been developed, however, the weather is entirely planned, usually one Terran year in advance. Climate controlling satellites regulate weather and climate on developed worlds.

Environment

The state of the environment is dismal at best. Most, if not all, of the native species of wildlife on every Jeffrian world have gone extinct. A few areas have been set aside as nature preserves to keep native Terran species alive. Most planets do not have enough flora to provide oxygen to support the residents of the planet, so machines have to be used that remove carbon dioxide and dangerous pollutants while creating breathable oxygen.

Politics and Government

In the Jeffrian Imperium, the God-Imperator has the final say on all decisions, and his word is considered law. However, the Jeffrian Imperium does run on a large bureaucracy of officials appointed by the God-Imperator. The God-Imperator appoints a cabinet to advise him on matters of state, and carry out his orders. He also appoints Governors to govern different sectors of the Imperium. An elected Senate also exists, though it holds no real power. All of its decisions can be overruled by the God-Imperator, who also uses fear to manipulate Senators. Only humans can run for or vote for the Senate.

Military

The Jeffrian Imperium possesses a large military, one of the largest in the multiverse.

Army

The Army is made up of the ground forces of the Imperium. Most of this branch is automated by the use of robots rather than organics. However, the Jeffrian government can draft people into the Army if the need arises

Air Force

The Air Force consists of the Imperium's aircraft. This branch is completely automated by the use of drones and robots.

Navy

The Navy consists of the giant starships which are the pride of the Imperium. This is one of the few branches that has not been automated. Human crews still serve an important purpose on Jeffrian ships

Marines

The Marines are an elite branch of the Jeffrian Military. It consists of highly trained and genetically modified supersoldiers.

Coast Guard

The smallest branch, the Coast Guard consists of the Imperium's maritime assets. They are used to police the oceans of Jeffrian worlds.

Foreign Relations

The Jeffrian Imperium currently stays out of foreign conflicts. Good relations exist between the Imperium and the former Black Order. The Imperium's main rivals include the Flyin and Bystoria.

Economy

The Jeffrian economy is broadly diversified, strong, and ruthlessly efficient. The economy creates around €14.5 unvigintillion every year, a GDP of around €5 per capita. Its extremely capitalist, with most industries being largely or completely controlled by one or a few megacorporations. Autarky, that is economic self-sufficiency, is an important aspect of the Jeffrian economy. Punitive tariffs (up to 1,000,000%) on imported goods are used to deter people from buying foreign goods. Though the economy is very diverse, much of it is focused solely on driving the Jeffrian war machine.

Energy

Energy is provided to the population by the government. The vast majority of energy production is created by dark matter reactors, or megastructures such as Dyson and Penrose spheres. Fossil fuels have since been rendered obsolete, and are no longer used for power generation.

Industry

Most Jeffrian industry is devoted to the production of military equipment. However, the rest of the economy is broadly diversified. Many different companies make all sorts of consumer goods and electronics.

Infrastructure

Jeffrian planets are highly developed, and have heavily developed and extremely efficient infrastructure. People who can afford them may buy flying cars to go from place to place, but many use the highly developed mass transit system, which includes maglev trains and buses.

Transport

Goods are often transported on planets using cargo trains, container ships, and flying trucks. Goods are transported through space using giant starships.

Demographics

The total organic population of the Jeffrian Imperium is about 2.9 unvigintillion. However, robots greatly outnumber organics, with about 3 quadragintillion war robots in the Army. Xenos are greatly outnumbered by humans, with only about 0.3% of the organic population being xeno.

Education

Education is widely available to all humans in the Imperium, as well as to species of higher xenos. All educational facilities are owned or heavily regulated by the government. In primary school children are taught basic things: reading, writing, arithmetic, as well as some science and history. In secondary school students are taught more advanced topics in these fields, and are prepared for higher education and/or careers. The literacy rate among humans is about 100%. Throughout a student's academic career, they are also taught of the greatness of the Imperium, the inferiority of the xenos, and the glory of the God-Imperator. School serves not only for education, but also for indoctrination.

Religion

The Jeffrian Imperium is built around a personality cult, in which the people worship the God-Imperator. People are made to believe that the God-Imperator is their benevolent god, and that his word is law. Going against his word is sin.

Culture

The Jeffrian Imperium is not among those at the forefront in cultural endeavors. In fact it puts extremely little emphasis on culture. Self-expression is suppressed by the very nature of the Jeffrian Imperium, and so too is culture.

Music and Art

The Imperium is not at all renowned for its music or art. Most music consists of military marches and patriotic songs that emphasize jingoism and loyalty to the God-Imperator. Most art is simply state propaganda. Any other music and art is still heavily monitored by the state. Only the very rich can afford actual art.

Sports

The Imperium does have many sports that attract crowds of Jeffrians. Most of these sports involve fighting or death in some way. Oftentimes unfortunate xenos or humans seeking glory in the arena are pitted against each other or against some sort of genetically engineered monstrosity, and are made to fight to the death. Such gladiator battles often occur in giant stadiums and can attract extremely large numbers of spectators.

Civil Rights Abuses

The Jeffrian Imperium is notorious for its many civil rights abuses. The government does nothing to hide these abuses from foreigners, and even takes pride in them in many cases. Though xenos are heavily disenfranchised, human rights are also violated on a regular basis

Human Rights

The citizens of the Jeffrian Imperium have very few rights. The Secret Police conducts surveillance on all citizens of the Imperium at all times. Tracking devices are placed in everyone, which make sure the Secret Police knows where everyone is, what they see, what they hear, what they feel, what they say, what they think, what they do, everything. Anyone who goes against the regime disappears mysteriously overnight. Public executions of criminals and "sinners" are done regularly.

Xeno Rights

Xenos are considered by all people in the Imperium to be inferior to humans. Almost all xenos are enslaved and forced to work in mines or factories. The few notable exceptions of this are "higher xenos," a few races considered to be not as inferior, including Scaeans, Kedeshi, and Daleks.
