Impulso (Mejian: Impulse) is an Mejian music magazine founded in 1946. It is currently headquartered in Santa Madre. Impulso focuses on music entertainment news and maintains several internationally recognized record charts, which track the most popular songs and albums across several categories on a weekly basis. Songs are ranked regardless of genre. Statistics used to determine a songs ranking include radio airplay, physical sales and, as of 2010, internet streaming and digital downloads.

Impulso "Act of the Year" Awards
Starting in 1980, Impulso began honoring one musician or music group a year with the Impulso Act of the Year Award.

Impulso Music Festival
Starting in 2015, Impulso also began sponsoring a multi-genre music festival, the Cartelera Music Festival. The week long event is held at a different venue each year and features many popular artists, many of whom were at previous shows, as well as smaller, lesser known artists trying to break into the music scene.
